Inflammation sucks..periodt! I never really knew what it was until I had to experience it first hand. After consulting with some people and doing my research, I learned about the benefits of wellness tea. After time, when I realized that tea is a good substitute for some medication, I made it part of my daily routine.

What is Wellness Tea?

Wellness tea is pretty self explanatory! It is a bunch of herbs that provide awesome health benefits depending what you are looking for. Whether it's a lack of sleep, an immune boost, detox, or inflammation *sigh*, wellness tea's are very helpful.

Benefits of Wellness Tea

If you've ever looked in the tea section of any store, you can see there are variety of teas that give different benefits. Here are few general:

  • Weight loss

  • Detoxification

  • Digestive Health

  • Builds Immune System

  • Sleep & Relaxation

  • Hair, Skin & Nails

  • Blood Sugar Control

  • Pain Relief

  • Energy Boost

If you follow me on social media, you know I drink a lot of tea. Mostly, I aim for tea that aids in inflammation, hair and skin, detoxification and recently immunity because of COVID. If you're are dealing with an auto-immune disorder, mostly likely you have chronic inflammation. Some types of tea to look for are turmeric, green tea, ginger, and chamomile.

Do you want to know the best thing about wellness tea? It can help with a VARIETY of ailments. Yes, you heard correctly..a VARIETY. Meaning...I can drink ginger tea for inflammation, but it can also help with immunity and weight control. Or, I can drink a cup of chamomile tea, and it will relax me for bedtime. Who needs a bunch of medicine, when a cup of tea can do the trick? Now of course, you aren't cured after a day or even a week of drinking wellness tea. However, I guarantee you that you will see the benefits and once you start, you won't regret it.

My Favs:

Here are tea brands that I've tried and liked. Not only did they taste good, but I experienced the benefits:

Inflammation: Turmeric Tea

Like I said before, inflammation sucks! But, it helps when you have a little turmeric in your life. Turmeric is known to have excellent anti-inflammatory benefits. Not only that, but it's high in antioxidants which boost your immune system, lowers cholesterol, helps prevent cancer, treats Alzheimer's, and other chronic diseases. This stuff right here!! I use to have extreme scalp pain all day, everyday. Instead of taking Tylenol, I drunk turmeric tea twice a day and felt a whole lot better!

If you get turmeric tea with ginger, just know the benefits are endless! Not only does it have many of the attributes that turmeric has, but it also aids in digestion and nausea.

Hair, Skin, Nails: Bundles Tea Tonic

When you hear the word bundles, you might be thinking about hair weaves but I'm talking about this excellent tea!! Many people take biotin for hair, skin, and nails which is awesome but there are also natural herbs that do the same thing. Horsetail has tons of antioxidants. It promotes hair and nail growth, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and helps with constipation. Moringa also helps clear up the skin, aids in weight loss, lowers cholesterol and so much more!! Add CBD for an added bonus of relaxation ;).

Green Tea: Tazo

ree

Zen is made from green tea, lemon verbena leaves, spearmint leaves and lemongrass. As you can see it also has a boost of caffeine. I just like this as a jump start of my day. It gets me going and the green tea benefits are an added bonus. Green tea is also anti-inflammatory. boost metabolism, aids the immune system, and the list goes on and on.

Relaxation: Yogi

ree

One thing about stress, it will make you sick!! For those who have autoimmune disorders, you can relate that stress makes our symptoms worse. If I need to wind down a little bit or even need a sleep aid, I drink tea for relaxation. Some of the ingredients include lavender, chamomile, peppermint and spearmint. It definitely serves its purpose, just don't drink it too late if you want to wake up on time for work the next morning #facts

Healthy & Refreshing Teas

Not only are these two brands healthy, but they are so refreshing!! If you need something refreshing on a hot day, Organic Tea Girls and My Majesteas are definitely it!! It's nothing like something tasty and nutritious at the same time. The first tea gives me cool, lemonade vibes at the pool. Majeteas is like drinking a glass of ice tea on my porch on a Saturday afternoon. If you think I'm over exaggerating, go see for yourself!

I can talk about tea all day, but it's way too many to blog about. Check out these companies websites. You don't have to have an autoimmune disorder to reap the benefits. These wellness teas are awesome and I know you'll get your bang for your buck!

As I visit more tea shops, I'll add to the list. If you have any good suggestions or praise reports about wellness tea, comment below! Make sure before drinking any tea or herbs, consult a professional to make sure that it doesn't trigger any other underlying issues. Other than that, start sipping!!
